     To Shine


If I were granted a wish
to wish for you,
and if I could make
that wish come true.
I'd wish that your eyes
are always bright,
filled with stars
to light the night,
always shining
full of dreams,
no matter how hopeless
the way ahead seems,
shining to keep
your hope awake,
beaming twice as bright
as each day breaks,
lighting each star the way
you light this heart of mine,
and showing the world
what it truly means to shine.
