     A Rose Forever Blooms

I see you in the garden,
tending to your flowers.
I watch you tend the roses,
with your little trowel.

It takes me back in time,
to a time when things were always simple.
Where I was always yours and you were only mine.

Before there were kids, and many other things.
Back to the time when I gave you a ring.
We both said I do, and I kissed your lips so sweet,
and I have always thought you were a rose to me.

A pretty pink rose, with your petals all around.
The dew lights upon your stems, and glistens
as the morning sun touches you.

It makes me realize just how much
I'm still in love with you!
