Great Job, Graduate!

Days of rainbows and lollipops
Barbie dolls and spinning tops
Days of loving kisses and hugs
Days of tea parties, frogs, and bugs
Days of makeup and watching girls
Many a memory in my mind whirls
I watch you now walking across that stage
A battle with proud tears I now wage
Oh how quickly the years have flown
Soon you'll be out on your own
Someday a special someone will come your way
Then you too will stand where I do today
You will stand looking back through the years
Watching with eyes filled with proud, happy tears
But one simple thing you must keep in mind
My open heart and arms you will always find
You will always be the child of my heart
Even when you're grown and we must part
Yes, I stand now with memories of the past
Marveling how the time has gone by so fast
My dearest child, I just want to say
Congratulations on your graduation day.
