Day in the Life

The day is here and the day will go.
What comes between nobody knows
The kids are up and I am down.
Ain's got the strength to go to town.
I'm just too dang tired.

My hair's in tangles, but I don't
Cause' I don't plan to go nowhere
The house is mess with dirty dishes.
This was one of my honeymoon wishes?
Guess I was mistaken.

The laundry's piled 4 ft. high
I should get to it by and by.
There're ain't no soap in the shower stall
Guess they don't need bathin' after all.
Too much washin' ain't healthy!

Toys a clutter all over the place
Can't keep up with these young'uns pace
Five dollars left with food to buy
Don't know what I'll do, but I can try
To make that soup some thinner!

Here comes daddy through the door
He don't even kiss me anymore,
Just plops down in his ole' chair
And leaves his bottles everywhere.

He grabs the remote and orders beer.
What the heck am I doin' here?
Then he as the nerve to say..
What the dickens have you done all day??
Oh, Why did I get married?
