 Why Did I Marry?

The day is here and the day will go.
What comes between nobody knows!
The kids are up and I am down.
Ain't got the strength to go to town.
I'm just too dang tuckered out.

My hair's in tangles, but I don't care
Cause I don't plan to go nowhere.
The house is messy with dirty dishes.
This was one of my honeymoon wishes?
Guess I was mistaken.

The laundry's piled 4 ft. high.
I should get to it by and by.
There're ain't no soap in the shower stall.
Guess they don't need bathiin' after all.
They say too much washin' ain't healthy!

Toys a clutter all over the place.
I can't keep up with these young'uns pace.
There's five dollars left, with food to buy.
Don't know what I'll do, guess I'll try
to make last nights soup thinner!

Here comes daddy through the door
He don't kiss me anymore,
just plops down in his ole' chair
then leaves his bottles everywhere.

He gets the remote and orders beer.
Now, what the heck am I doin' here?
Then he as the nerve to say,
What the dickens have you done all day??
Oh, why did I get married?
