My Friend

We know that you are having
some very trying times.
It isn't easy, being valiant
when you're down.
Times are hard and
some folks can be too,
but try to smile when
you truly want to frown!

Nothing lasts forever,
not even the troubles;
you can lean on me if
you aren't feeling strong.
We all stumble and
often feel alone.
But I'll be there to
help you carry on.

It feels good to be
needed by a friend;
Life is not a picnic in the park!
But when you think the world
has turned all its
lights right out on you.
Keep in mind...
persevere,
the snail did reach the ark!
