Our Falling Star

Somewhere up there is a falling star.
I wonder...
Where will it land?
Will it end up in a gigantic sea?
Or will it fall in my tiny hand?

Maybe I could catch that star
In a homemade trap.
Or maybe I won't have to build a thing,
For it might just fall in my lap.

If I could catch a falling star,
How sunny my life would be!
I'd put it in a see-through jar.
No more fluorescent lights for me!

Yes, that star would brighten up my days.
It would make them never dull.
My life would be so different,
Amazing, exciting and full!

And because you are my closest friend,
I'd share my star with you.
Together we'd enjoy more sunny days,
Yes, that's just what we'd do.
