Mother

When I was just a baby,
You carried me up high.
I thought that I was tall enough,
To nearly touch the sky.

When I was just a baby,
You would lay me in your lap.
It was so very cozy there,
I would often take a nap.

When I was just a baby,
You cared for me so much.
You fed me, and you clothed me.
You had such a gentle touch.

When I was just a baby,
You were the perfect mom for me.
And now that I am all grown up,
You're still as perfect as can be.
