Cannot Give Up...

Basking in love's warm hues
I still often dream about you,
as often as I breathe...
looking for you in my memory beneath...

I think of the dear words we shared
All that love we poured on each other,
Everything comes lashing back like waves,
From those unforgettable yesterdays...

Our happy days have departed,
over silly trifles thwarted,
But I still sincerely feel,
That we simply cannot leave...

Though days and years may pass,
How could we let our love grow so cross?
Break the simple vows we made
Could our love be so betrayed...?

To get back together is all what I yearn to do
This should work if our love's been true
Anytime you need me I wish to be there,
Let us not be heart-broken any further...
I long to be yours...again...
