Dear Friend

It's time to say hello again,to you,
my friend so dear.
For I've been thinking of you
and wanted you to hear
of all the times you're on my mind
and in my heart, it seems.
We have shared so much laughter,
so many tears and dreams.

Always know you're in my thoughts
though time shoots with a start.
For you are me, outside of me,
a separated part.
You laugh with me or cry with me,
whatever I may need.

Much of who I am today
started with the seed
that grew when you and I were young
and sisters of the heart.
I'll always call you my best friend
Though we are miles apart.
