A Fragile Heart

You hold my heart within your hands
It no longer dwells within my chest
Of all the new homes it could have found
It sought and found the very best.
In that fragile heart you're now holding
Lives a single, fervent, solemn prayer
That you will know how I feel for you
And that you too these feelings share.

Lie dreams of you and I together
Walking hand in hand through life
Both sun and storm to weather.
In that fragile heart you're holding
A wealth of love doth beat
And many thanks to God above
That He let us meet.
Yes, that fragile heart you're holding
Is filled with love for only you
And many hopes, dreams, and prayers
That you will love me too.
