Raven and The Rose

On darkest nights with moonlight lace
I chance to walk amongst the roses
therein to see your face
for love grows within the thorns
and there where two hearts are gathered
oneness of the soul is born-

I think upon the rain
that in glory washed your face
sadness was your shadow
your friend was that of pain
but now the storm must surely end
for the rose sends that of happiness
broken hearts it doth mend-

But one day within the garden
the raven flew in grace
haunted by the memories
he saw within the sinners eyes
reflections embrace chaotic night
he grasps the lover's souls
so once more they now can fly-

The raven takes the rose
so together two beating hearts can dance
born to fly as one
embrace this life of chance
explode unto the morning sun-
