Self's Journey

Laughter lives in starry nights
for tears are cried in beauteous light
given sanction of childish fears
knowing not shelter is near-

Journey within self
time unto an end
broken height's of shattered dreams
rainless nights did send-

Fortuitous heart that speaks a lie
knowing not reason or even why
river's of sin that sail in my mind
keeper of mercy
born again to die-

City of my birth
awaken to dawn
freedom death in a kiss
forever haunted
by memories as this-
