Hidden Frailty

Alone I cry
but the tears won't come
I have given into sadness
sanctified by the morning sun-

Shadowed moon and silver light
my soul dark and afraid
likened unto the blood-stained night-

Immortal eyes that seek the wind
but refuse the pain his love did send
the thoughts of time recede her soul
ageless memories her heart did hold-

Release my soul and set me free
from the hidden throes of this
sanctioned, golden entity
seek not the quietness of this life
but withhold the diamonds of hope and strife-
