Love's Envocation

Veiled tears that shroud the night
amongst the thorns of beauteous light
the wanton rose that beholds her grief
lost and forlorn in this ageless keep-

Whispered of rain, wind, and sand
breathless thoughts in an ancient land
oracles of time that see her pain
listen to her heart, and invoke the rain-

Angels carry her on golden light
caress the dawn with merciful night
upon the wings of bloodstained cries
immersed in shadows that never die-

But once among the sea and sand
amongst the rose, the river free
born of golden days of silver sun
came the greatest love to ever be-

To one gave new life
kisses on the heart for all of life
she thought his soul as the stars above
her heart could not contain
all the endless love
her life for him
on the wings of silent doves-
