Love's Bridge

Love can build a lasting bridge
Between the islands of two hearts
And there is no way of telling
Just when the building starts.
Mutual feelings for each other
As heart to heart those feelings flow
Over time and day by day
A little stronger that bridge does grow.
Then one day the bridge is completed
Love can now walk freely from side to side
Two lonely hearts become one in the middle
A proud and happy husband and bride.
That bridge has withstood shadows
That caressed it with a rain of tears
It has glowed bright in the sunlight
Of happiness throughout the years.
This bridge of love I speak of
Time has built between me and you
I just wanted to let you know
That I'll love you my whole life through.
