in the hay sleeping,
mankind's heart
in your keeping,
what joy you're bringing
beneath the stars
where angels are singing.
You're here and now
the world is praying,
the celestial harps
in heaven playing,
a great ebullient star
is flaming,
the miracle of
your birth proclaiming.
So many hearts
you're reaching,
reminding us of
heaven's teaching,
that the best
part of living
only comes from
loving and giving.
