It doesn't hold candy
or a cute little toy.
Instead it holds magic
that will touch your heart
with joy.
For it's a basket filled
with hope for a
better tomorrow,
sprinkled with happiness
that will take away your sorrow.
There's no coconut,
chocolate
or tiny pastel eggs,
but there's lots of
warmth and love,
and prayers sent
on angels' wings
to heaven above.
