You always listened;
you were always there.
You were never reluctant
to show how much you care.
You encouraged me
and helped me grow,
and though words aren't enough,
I want you to know,
that since I took my first step,
I've looked up to you.
You've given me strength and wisdom
to last my whole life through.
And I only appreciate you more
the older I get.
I've never met someone
that I admire more than you yet.
