that he can't fall.

but he won't see;
he's too worried about the eyes on him,
and being what they want him to be.

but the knowledge won't sink in,
because your life was so different--
way back then.


You can warn him about heartache
and about playing the fool,
but he can't hear you;
he's too busy acting cool.


There's nothing you can possibly know
that he hasn't done or seen.
He's the master of the universe
though he's only fifteen.
