We knew each other before,
how I cannot tell;
I don't know where or when
but I know I loved you well.

I recognized your face
on the day we met,
for we'd shared the kind of love,
a heart could never forget.

Though I knew not how,
a distant memory stirred in me,
and I could clearly see
that we were meant to be.
