 Always Springtime...

Sometimes we harbor thoughts,
so very dark and grim,
Sometimes our minds are closed,
the light shut out and dim.
During such times,
it's never easy to remember
that the springtime always follows
the desolation of December.
The trying times of sadness,
with skies so dark and gray,
will be followed by gladness,
because the sun is on the way.
The spring may bear a storm or two
that spins the weather vane.
And bits of rain may dance upon
the roof and window pane.
But every raindrop shed
never falls in vain;
to enjoy a flower garden,
we must endure a bit of rain.

"Always Springtime," written and designed by Bobette Bryan, 2000
