I wanted to write a single verse
to express my appreciation, friend.
But I always thought of another line,
and my poem had no end.

So I'll simply say that
you're part of my heart,
and I hold your friendship dear.
Every day that passes by,
I wish you were here.

And though there's no way to tell you
what it means to know you're out there,
I'll asked God to bless you
in every heartfelt prayer.
