New Year Prayer...
God, a New Year
is ahead,
and I know you
have a plan,
but should the way
ahead prove rough,
please smooth it
with your gentle hand.
As the hours rush by,
another night,
another day,
keep my faith alive,
and don't let me
stow my dreams away.
Remind me that you're
always there;
let me hear the rush
of angel's wings.
Open my eyes to all
the blessings
each day brings.
Lift me with your love;
send your warmth
upon the air.
Let me know you hear me
and are answering
each prayer.
