For those who kept
my vision clear,
for the loved ones
that I hold dear,
for those who lent
me strength
along the way,
and inspired a
beautiful dream
on a beautiful day,
for those who've
shared with me
along life's long road,
took my burdens
on their shoulders
and lightened my load,
for those who
stood beside me
when disappointment
took its toll
and gave me
the encouragement
to meet my goals,
and offered their friendship
even through tears,
I ask you, God,
to shine your
light upon them;
and give them
a bright new year.
