Miss You, Dad...
Dad, I miss so much about you
that I can't possibly
list all of the reasons,
but I think I miss hearing
your voice most of all.
You're the first thing
I think about when I wake up,
and the last thing
I think about before I go to sleep.
I carry you with me
every minute of the day.
There's never a time
when I don't think about you.
Often, I cry because
I miss you so much,
but sometimes I smile,
because I remember
all of the wonderful times
we spent together,
and I think about the
day we'll be reunited.
Through each tear,
I'll remain hopeful, because
I have faith that you'll
return safely to us.
And though I miss you terribly,
I'm so proud of your courage,
and glad that you're my father.
You're truly my hero!
